Eightify does one thing carefully: it turns a YouTube video into timestamped key points, inside the YouTube page, with almost no configuration. It has a free tier and a paid plan for regular use, and it supports output in a long list of languages. If YouTube is the only thing you need summarized, it is a reasonable place to stop.

Where Eightify stops
Eightify is scoped to YouTube. Open a Netflix episode, a PDF, or a long article, and the extension has nothing to say. That is not a flaw; it is the product's shape. But it means the "summarize this for me" habit only works on one site, and every other kind of content falls back to reading it yourself or pasting it into a chat window.

Two details are worth spelling out because they are the ones that decide whether this is useful to you.
Video summaries stop where you stopped. If you are 18 minutes into an episode, the summary covers the first 18 minutes. This matters much less for a conference talk than it does for a series, which is exactly why it exists.
Netflix needs subtitles turned on. Mentorina reads the subtitle track the player is showing. If subtitles are off, it says so rather than guessing. YouTube is different — the video needs captions to exist, but you do not have to turn them on.
What Mentorina does not do
Worth saying plainly, because the reverse comparison is the useful one:
- No mobile app. Eightify has iOS and Android; Mentorina is a browser extension.
- Chromium browsers only — Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Arc. No Firefox, no Safari.
